    A classroom to disrupt HIV stigma

    Medical students do know the clinical aspects related to infectious diseases but what if culture-rooted beliefs and misconceptions affect their perception and influence their daily life? A naked dialogue at Beira university, unveiled students' fears and helped them disrupt the stigma.

    Renovated spaces and colorful paintings at Pujehun hospital

    Renovated spaces and colorful paintings at Pujehun Hospital make daily work more pleasant and efficient, while also helping to alleviate the patients' experience of hospitalization. A renovation led by CUAMM that many contributed in making happen: from CUAMM staff at the facility, to donors and friends.

    Malnutrition when adherence to treatment is lifesaving

    Adherence to nutritional treatment is a key factor in achieving the desired clinical benefits. When the patient is a 2 and half years old children, caregivers together with health professionals play a crucial role in saving their life which is why it is so important to inform and educate on signs, symptoms and prevention.

    Access to clean water is a basic human right, yet it remains a privilege for the few. In Angola, Mozambique and Uganda we are implementing WASH projects with the key objective of improving access to clean water, sanitation to curb morbidity and mortality due to preventable environmental factors.
