    MHPSS in Emergencies

    Whether forced to flee their homes, endure staggering violence, or cope with the devastation caused by natural hazards, people in emergencies are often cut off from fundamental services including Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS). At Doctors with Africa CUAMM, we witness this firsthand through our dedicated work to promote access to health for all.

    Advanced Training in Mozambique Second edition

    The second edition of the Master in pediatric and neonatal emergencies for healthcare professionals in Mozambique has officially begun. 15 health professionals are enrolled in the Master promoted by Eduardo Mondlane University, in collaboration with the University of Padua, the Catholic University of Mozambique (UCM), and coordinated by CUAMM.

    Migrants and Asylum Seekers CUAMM’s Support

    In 2022 Doctors with Africa CUAMM started supporting the Immigration Office in Padua to ease and accelerate the workload caused by the crisis in Eastern Europe. Today, the commitment goes on and has been extended to other cities.

    Papa Tito an African man

    Tito Dal Lago, a milestone of CUAMM Uganda, suddenly passed away last night at his home in Kampala, beside his wife Nicoletta. The entire CUAMM community, both in Italy and Africa, and everyone who had the chance to know him, mourns his profound loss.

    Strenghtening neonatal care in Abobo

    The donation of medical equipment to three major facilities in Abobo, Abidjan, will enhance neonatal health services, thereby contributing to the reduction of maternal and neonatal mortality in Ivory Coast.

    Something rare in Tosamaganga

    Rare is something that happens infrequently over time, like a natural triplet birth, carried out successfully. Rare is also a father sat in a hospital room carefully practicing kangaroo care. Sadly, rare is still arriving at the hospital with confidence to give birth safely. But not this time, not for Andrea Beta and her husband, who today hold their three baby girls in their arms.

    Preventing GBV through Early Detection

    A three-day training was offered to healthcare workers in Bangui to strengthen prevention and response to GBV in healthcare facilities. The activity was carried out as part of the UNFPA project.
