    FREE HEALTH CARE TO THE LATEST MILE OF CAR

    Healthcare represents a major economic burden to families in CAR where more than 3 million people live in extreme poverty. Yet, access to health services is now free in the latest mile of CAR, thanks to the PBF strategy adopted by CUAMM through a program funded by the European Union.

    A new project by the University of Florence, in collaboration with CUAMM, aims to engage HIV-positive adolescents and young adults to provide up-to-date information to health authorities in the Shinyanga region and strengthen the health system and HIV services.

    A NEW CLINIC FOR CHRONIC NON-COMMUNICABLE DISEASES

    In the village of Pujehun, Sierra Leone, a clinic has just been opened to treat patients suffering from diabetes, hypertension and other chronic diseases, which are on the increase in the country. Giacomo Marro, CUAMM doctor, witnesses the birth of the clinic, amidst difficulties and pleasant surprises.

    The "Seeds of future" project, implemented by CUAMM and CEFA in Ethiopia, with the support of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, offers a set of training sessions to families for the development of children, who are often malnourished.
